Automation

July 19th, 2023

New technologies and the ability to automate have advanced human society many times. From the invention of the steel plow to the steam engine to assembly lines in factories, each time new automation came about, productivity skyrocketed. Each automation limited the stress and strain that the physical body must endure to produce the same project. We live in an age where there is an increasing presence of artificial intelligence that can help automate many daily tasks. There are websites and schedulers that can automate marketing campaigns, and financial trading, and even write code to program new applications. Our world is ever-connected and no longer requires the human touch to operate everything.

Technological feats are being invented that are trailblazing paths forward. ChatGPT, created by OpenAI, is an artificial intelligent platform that has the ability to rapidly increase the productivity of humans. Instead of using the internet to find an answer, ChatGPT can answer it for you at the push of a button. Instead of writing a 600-word paper, ChatGPT could create a paper in a couple of seconds. ChatGPT has passed the Bar exam, medical exams, and numerous other tests that help back up its capabilities. There are other platforms and many more startups that are springing up with artificial intelligence capabilities. This new wave of technology will help foster an age where humanity has the ability to automate many daily tasks that were not previously possible to automate.

Automation means change is occurring in the world. Automation in our own lives means we are able to change our habits to be more productive and to be more successful. Instead of having to remember everything on our to-do list, we can program it into an app that automatically reminds us when things need to be done. We no longer need to worry about forgetting to do something because we have automation there to help us. Automation enables us to prioritize aspects of our lives that require our brain power and focus. We no longer need to waste time on little issues or tasks that can simply be automated.
Like all change, change via automation is scary. Automation at first is scary because it is different than what we have always known. Even though it can be scary at first does not mean we should run from automation. We should embrace it with open arms because automation enables us to spend our time doing and pursuing the things we actually want to do. Automation takes away our time requirements for doing tasks we do not want to do. Allowing automation is a path that lets us follow our passions and find purpose in our lives without being tied down by meaningless tasks. Automate to explore and find what actually calls you.
