Find Proof to Find Confidence

April 29th, 2023

Talking the talk does nothing without walking the walk. It is by walking the walk we talk that we begin to build up a proof of product, a proof of outcome, a proof of substance that we are who we say we are. Our words mean nothing without our actions and it is through our actions that we begin to find an unwavering sense of self-confidence. This internal confidence is how we cultivate feelings of belief and build ourselves up to defeat opposition. Instead of letting doubt beat us down, our proof of work enables us to stand tall and continue pushing forward. With confidence, we can actively push to achieve.

Alex Hormozi said the following about stacking wins and success, “You don't become confident by shouting affirmations in the mirror, but by having a stack of undeniable proof that you are who you say you are.” This quote captures the idea that what we tell ourselves internally does not help us perform unless we act. Without action, we are just telling ourselves who we want to be. The action and performance behind the action are what take us from the idea to the finished product. We take our internal dialogue and begin printing proof of the concepts that are stored inside. Once we take the voices inside and turn them into real actions, there is nothing stopping us from being who we say we want to be.

Once we start acting and “winning” we should find ways to tangibly track our proof of work. Having a way to showcase our wins, if even just personally, helps start the flywheel cycle of wins turning into more wins. Whether it be a journal, marking off days on your calendar, spreadsheets, or any other physical tracker, visibly displaying our wins is a system that matters. Through the visible, we have distinct proof of what we have started and what we have accomplished. As time progresses we are able to look back and easily see the progress that has been made. Since we have proof of work and a natural proof of progress, anytime we doubt ourselves we are able to come back to these trophies of achievement to refocus our inner beings on the positive. What we have done leads to more of a desire to keep doing. Action begets action. Through the action and proof of what we are able to do, we find the confidence to keep going. Stop only talking and begin acting to find the self-confidence to continue.
