March Month Recap
March 31st, 2023
With a third month done, I once again wanted to recap the past month. We are officially 3 out of 12 months done with this part of the journey.
Check out my February recap here.
Check out my January recap here.
I am doing the recap as a monthly practice so any new subscribers can go back and check out posts they have missed. If you have read all of them, thank you! You can use today’s to go back and reread and share some of your favorites.
Additionally, today’s edition is a fantastic one to share with anyone you believe will enjoy what I am writing. I am looking to grow and reach more people’s inboxes, so if you have anyone in mind, please share my work! If you have enjoyed my words and perspectives, please pass the message to someone else! If everyone reading this shares with 1 person that makes a huge difference in the audience I am reaching.
3/1 Look in the Mirror: We must honestly assess ourselves and our capabilities.
3/2 Don’t Escape, Endure: Hard times should not make us flee, they should be used to improve.
3/3 Welcome Darkness: Darkness comes and darkness is where we grow stronger. Embrace it.
3/4 Hindsight: Once a decision is made we cannot change it, we must learn and grow from our past actions.
3/5 If I had Time…: We always have time, what we lack is a sense of priority.
3/6 Decisions: Decision making is hard but life is full of decisions. We cannot run from the responsibility of choosing in our lives.
3/7 Reaction: Most reactions we have in life are able to be thought through. By controlling our reactions we set ourselves up for better outcomes.
3/8 Ebb and Flow: Life has highs and lows. Both will happen in our lives, with every low there is a high to emerge.
3/9 No One is Watching, Who are you? With no one looking over your shoulder what type of characteristics do you have? Are you proud of who you are when you are working in the shadows?
3/10 Control What You Can Control: We truly do not have control over much in our lives. By focusing on what we can control we set ourselves up for more sustained happiness.
3/11 Find an Alter Ego: An alter ego can have superpowers we feel we do not currently have. By spending enough time with our alter ego we will evolve to be the superhero.
3/12 Life is Hard Because We Think it is Easy: Life is hard, discomfort makes us stronger and makes us grow.
3/13 Crisis or Transition? Life has many transition periods. Not every transition is a crisis, they are mostly just the evolution of life. Leaning into the change helps us emerge positively.
3/14 Redline: Everyone has their limit. We must make sure to be cognizant of our max limit and relax so we can sustain effort over the long run.
3/15 Comparison is the Thief of Joy: Comparing to others is asking for our individual happiness to lower. We must use comparison as a test, nothing more.
3/16 Water Your Plants: Every aspect in our life needs “water.” By focusing we are able to water the plants we want to grow.
3/17 Saying No is a Yes for Your Life: Saying no actually gives us individually more freedom to pursue everything we want to. Saying no lets us focus on what is important in our lives.
3/18 Walk the Walk We Talk: When we talk, our actions must follow what we say.
3/19 Find a New Crowd: There is no better environment to learn and see new perspectives than from a crowd with people who possess different backgrounds than we do.
3/20 Take a Walk: Creativity and ideas sprout when we take a break and go for a walk. By disconnecting briefly we can solve the problems in our lives.
3/21 Complacency Kills Progress: We must never grow complacent. We must aim to always push to improve and get better.
3/22 Calculated Risk: Every decision we have has risk and reward. By maximizing the potential reward and minimizing the risk, we are better set up for the long run.
3/23 Be Bold: Bold people are remembered more than the timid. Confidence breeds success and draws those around to us.
3/24 Inspiration: Inspiration can come from everywhere, we just need to look.
3/25 Perspective on Comparison: Comparing to our peers is largely a negative practice when done in an obsessive way. We must compare to grow not compare to belittle ourselves.
3/26 The Art of a Challenge: Challenging ourselves gives our lives purpose. Through challenges we learn and grow.
3/27 Tone: Tone is just as important as what our message is. We must aim to not let our tone detract from the idea we are presenting.
3/28 Zero to One: The hardest part of the journey is moving from nothing to something. Once we have something we can focus on scaling and iterating upon our process.
3/29 4x4x48: I ran 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours. I learned a lot and challenged myself mentally and physically.
3/30 What’s the Big Idea? Big ideas do not just appear, they come from saying yes to everything until we find something that causes us to say no to everything else.
