May Month Recap

May 31st, 2023

With a fifth month done, I once again wanted to recap the past month. We are officially 5 out of 12 months done with this part of the journey.

Check out my April recap here.

Check out my March recap here.

Check out my February recap here.

Check out my January recap here.

I am doing the recap as a monthly practice so any new subscribers can go back and check out posts they have missed. If you have read all of them, thank you! You can use today’s to go back and reread and share some of your favorites.

Additionally, today’s edition is a fantastic one to share with anyone you believe will enjoy what I am writing. I am looking to grow and reach more people’s inboxes, so if you have anyone in mind, please share my work! If you have enjoyed my words and perspectives, please pass the message to someone else! If everyone reading this shares with 1 person that makes a huge difference in the audience I am reaching.

5/1 Start With Why: Find your why to find your purpose. Use this purpose to lead your life.

5/2 Potential Energy: Everyone has potential. Realize the potential and see ability and improvements flow.

5/3 Teamwork: Teamwork pushes each individual further. You do not need to build alone.

5/4 Learn in Low Points: Knowledge flows when we are at our lowest. As we build ourselves back up, we learn the most about who we are.

5/5 Wisdom from Others: Be a sponge and listen to those who have come before. The best learning comes when your mouth is closed.

5/6 One Day or Day One? Start now or always live in regret of what could be possible.

5/7 Have Fun With It: Life is meant to be fun. Find ways to enjoy it.

5/8 Be You: We are all unique. Embrace the uniqueness and fall in love with who you are.

5/9 Be Selfish for Your Sake: Your time is valuable. Using it for your purposes is not wrong.

5/10 Follow the Leader: Not everyone needs to be a vocal leader to be important or to do the right thing. Recognize your individual strengths and follow them.

5/11 Reflect to Do More: You do not want to regret what you did in the past. Take a couple seconds and do more.

5/12 Personal Oath too Commit: This is a mantra to be reread again and again. Choose to commit and revisit this for motivation.

5/13 Unlearn to Find Progress: Be humble enough to forget a bad habit and learn a new one. Admitting you are wrong is the quickest way for improvement.

5/14 Mother’s Day Reflection: Mom’s are not perfect, but if they love you above all else, you are lucky. It doesn’t have to be Mother’s Day to show them love.

5/15 Let Go: Let go to move on. The past holds you back from evolving in the present and the future.

5/16 The Investment of Time Assets: Time is a powerful asset. Do things that increase the amount of time you have, add those assets.

5/17 Make Habits Fun: Sometimes our habits need to be changed so we feel the joy and excitement with them again. Make them fun to add fuel to our internal fire.

5/18 Be Water: Be consistent, malleable, and powerful like water. Push back to create your own space and push to create, no matter what.

5/19 10Y + 1H Framework: Have a 10 year vision and a 1 hour period to work. Stack the hours to achieve over the long run.

5/20 Heartbreak is an Opportunity: Heartbreak is a period of time where we can look within and emerge more powerfully out of the ashes.

5/21 Put a Stake in it: When we add a personal stake in our goals, we are more likely to work harder to achieve them.

5/22 Change is an Opportunity: Don’t run or be scared from change. Change is an opportunity to improve and evolve.

5/23 Accomplish But Continue: When achievement is made, continue on. The journey is not over once we accomplish.

5/24 The Blame Finger: Who we blame has power over us. Accept responsibility and accountability and take the power back.

5/25 Bottleneck to Learning: The only limit to learning is our individual curiosity. We can learn anything if we want to.

5/26 Be Neutral: Never be too high, never be too low. Stay neutral and react based on the facts. Plot and engage for what is next.

5/27 Elevate Don’t Stoop: Never stoop down to a lower level. Choose to elevate those to the values and level you want to be.

5/28 Invisible Improvements: In the long game of life not every improvement will immediately show. Stack bricks day by day and realize the improvements down the line.

5/29 Tortoise and the Hare: It is not about how you start, it is about how you do each day. Be consistent and be the Tortoise.

5/30 What Hard Is: Hard is relative on an individual scale. What is hard for you now won’t be hard for you in the future as you improve and continue.
